Plano Humano is pleased to announce that the Odivelas Municipal Housing project has received an Honorable Mention at the Architecture MasterPrize 2026.
Located on a municipal site previously occupied by prefabricated timber buildings that housed families in the 1980s, the project proposes a new residential building comprising 19 housing units of different typologies, responding to the rehousing needs of existing families.
The intervention seeks to strengthen the relationship between architecture and its surroundings through the creation of landscaped green areas and shared social spaces, contributing to a more welcoming and inclusive public realm. By carefully balancing the site's topography with a cost-conscious construction approach, the project demonstrates how architectural quality can be achieved while addressing social needs and the responsible use of resources.
