Plano Humano is pleased to announce that its Praia d’El Rey House project has been distinguished with the Category Winner 2026 award, in the Concept Design — House Concept category, by the LOOP Design Awards.
This distinction recognizes a residential proposal that explores the relationship between architecture, landscape, and context, in a territory that transitions between the urban, rural, and coastal environments. The project is based on a simple and contemporary architectural language, combining different volumes, relationships between solid and void, transparency and opacity, and outdoor spaces conceived as a natural extension of the home.
The spatial organization was designed to establish a continuous relationship between the interiors and the garden, allowing the surrounding landscape to become part of the everyday experience of the house. At the top, the fifth façade becomes a true promenade architecturale, through a sequence of landscaped levels that frame different views over the territory and the Atlantic Ocean.
This recognition represents the collective effort of our team and reinforces Plano Humano’s commitment to contemporary, functional, and landscape-integrated architecture, capable of creating spaces where the relationship between interior and exterior, architecture and nature, becomes an essential part of the experience of living.
