Plano Humano is pleased to announce that its Mata do Paraíso Scout Park project has been distinguished with the People’s Choice Award 2026 and the Category Winner 2026 award in the Architecture — Small Architecture category, by the LOOP Design Awards.
This distinction recognizes an intervention that seeks to respond to the characteristics of the site in a simple, functional, and sensitive way. Located within a forested area with irregular topography, the project organizes three small buildings — two sanitary facilities and a washing area — while preserving most of the site for camping activities and enhancing its relationship with the surrounding landscape.
The creation of an outdoor amphitheatre, integrated into the site’s natural slope, reinforces the park’s collective dimension and its purpose as a space for scouting activities and connection with nature. Cost control, environmental responsibility, and sustainability were also fundamental principles, demonstrating how simple constructions can achieve architectural quality, dignity, and integration within their surroundings.
This recognition represents the collective effort of our team and reinforces Plano Humano’s commitment to conscious, accessible, and context-sensitive architecture, capable of creating high-quality spaces through simple, responsible, and people-centred solutions.
